- Awarded $50,000 in Great Streets Business District Facade Improvement Program grants to local businesses
- Released version 2.0 of www.experiencesouthwest.com improving the user experience and now including all storefront businesses in southwest Minneapolis
- Continued to improve the www.nehba.org website for businesses to have easy access to informational resources and important announcements
- Empowered and informed business and commercial property owners through expansion of the Business District Leader network for many of the business nodes within the original NEHBA boundaries
- Worked with the City's Business Development department and the Public Works Department to engage the business community as a separate and distinct stakeholder in road reconstruction projects.
- Held or co-hosted informational meetings, provided estimates for road project special assessments and gathered input directly from those businesses affected by the Nicollet Avenue and Lyndale Avenue South road reconstruction projects
- Awarded $40,000 by the city through the Great Streets Business District Support Program to create an area destination identity and develop a plan to market that identity
- Exceeded our membership goal of 100 members
- Continue to support the existing Business District Leaders
- Recruit and train new Business District Leaders with a focus on the business nodes located in the expanded service area in the Windom, Tangletown and Kenny neighborhoods
- Work proactively with affected businesses, CPED, the Public Works Department, neighborhood organizations and other stakeholders to create positive design outcomes for the Nicollet Avenue and Lyndale Avenue Reconstruction Projects
- Provide a NEHBA resource as a first point of contact for businesses affected by the Lyndale Avenue Road Reconstruction Project, the Lyndale Avenue Minnehaha Bridge Replacement Project and the Nicollet Avenue Road Reconstruction Project
- Develop and execute a marketing plan for the new version of the southwest online business directory – www.experiencesouthwest.com
- Continue feature development of the business association’s website (www.nehba.org)
- Pilot a collaboration among NEHBA, business owners and city department decision makers led by the City’s Business Development group to review and adopt city-wide best practices and to identify opportunities to streamline existing processes affecting small businesses
- Complete the brand identity and marketing plan development outlined in NEHBA’s Great Streets Business District Support Program
- Continue to strengthen its partnerships with other community, cultural and neighborhood organizations
- Continue to grow the membership base
